A sweeping view from West Hobart on the left, to Newtown on the right. The backdrop provided by our famous Mount Wellington has provided a focal point for many colonial and more recent artists. When capped with snow, 'the mountain' as the locals refer to it, is the prettiest sight. When asked what the day holds in terms of weather, most locals will take a glance at 'the mountain' before offering an opinion!
